TL;DR

TL;DR — 100% local analysis · no account · nothing uploaded · AdMob for ads and anonymous analytics only with your consent · optional one-time purchase.

01Technical data

Information we collect

The Application may automatically collect certain technical information when you use it, such as:

  • Your device's IP address
  • Operating system used on your device
  • Time spent on the Application
  • Ad interaction data (managed by AdMob)
The Application does not gather precise location information and does not use AI technologies to process your data.

All files (photos, videos, documents) are analyzed exclusively on your device. No content is sent to external servers.

02On-device

Local processing on your device

DupeFire works entirely locally. All operations are performed exclusively on your device:

  • Duplicate detection via hash is performed locally
  • Image and video compression is performed locally
  • No file, photo, video or document is sent to external servers
  • We do not operate servers that receive data from the app
Your files never leave your device. Only you have access to them.
03What we do NOT collect

We do not collect, store or process any of the following data:

✕Name or identity
✕Email address
✕Phone number
✕Precise location
✕File contents
✕User accounts
✕Browsing history
✕Biometric data
04Permissions

The app requests the following permissions, used exclusively for its core functionality:

These permissions are not used to collect information. Files are only accessed when explicitly requested by the user.

Detect duplicate images and compress them
READ_MEDIA_VIDEO
Detect duplicate videos and compress them

WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

05AdMob · GDPR

Advertising & third-party services

DupeFire uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. Only aggregated, anonymized data is shared with external services. Data that AdMob may collect includes: device advertising identifiers, ad interaction information, technical device data (model, OS), and approximate IP address.

The first time you open the app, an EU GDPR consent form will be shown so you can choose between personalized or non-personalized ads.
05bAnalytics · Pro

Anonymous analytics & DupeFire Pro purchase

DupeFire offers an optional one-time purchase, DupeFire Pro (US$1.99), which removes all ads and unlocks unlimited Smart Cleanup. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play: we do not receive or store payment details, and the app only keeps a local flag indicating whether Pro is unlocked. In addition, if you give consent, the app uses Firebase Analytics (Google) to measure feature usage in aggregate, for example that a scan completed, how many groups were found or how many MB were freed.

  • Only counters and approximate sizes are sent; never file names, paths, photos, videos or content
  • Firebase Analytics stays disabled until you accept the consent form
  • Collection of the advertising ID and SSAID is disabled for analytics
  • Without consent, no analytics event is sent
06Opt-out

Opt-out rights

You can stop all collection of information by uninstalling the Application using the standard uninstall process available on your device or via the application marketplace.
